The relationship between sitting time and mortality in mid-aged and older women.
There is growing evidence to suggest that total daily sitting time is associated with mortality, even in people who meet current recommendations for physical activity. To date, published evidence for this association in Australian adults only covers a 3-year period or television related sitting-time only. In this study, we aim to examine whether sitting time is linked to mortality using a longer follow-up period and total sitting time.
