The relationship between physical activity intensity and health in mid-aged women.
Current physical activity guidelines recommend 30 minutes of moderate activity on at least 5 days per week. There is current debate about whether vigorous intensity is more beneficial for health than moderate intensity activity, after adjusting for total 'volume' of activity. The aim is therefore to examine whether there is any additional health benefit of vigorous physical activity compared with moderate physical activity.
