The factors associated with the use of prayer or spiritual healing among women aged 31-36 years and 59-64 years.
There is emerging evidence that people are using prayer or spiritual healing as an adjunctive therapy for the treatment of illness, particularly chronic illness. The proposed study will determine the prevalence of use of prayer or spiritual healing among women from the 1973-78 cohort (in 2009) and the 1946-51 cohort (in 2010). It will also determine the demographic, health status, and health services factors that are associated with use of prayer or spiritual healing among these two groups of women.
