Vaccination uptake and health outcomes of middle aged women over time: Findings from the ALSWH.
In Australia, immunisation against influenza (flu) and pneumococcal are free to non-Indigenous individuals from age 65 onwards, and from age 55 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, through a general practitioner. However, data on the uptake of these vaccinations are sparse. The aim of this study is to identify and describe factors associated with uptake of adult vaccinations, in particular use of influenza and among mid-age women over time.
