What women say about their experiences of using the contraceptive implant or hormonal IUD: an examination of free-text data from the 1989-95 cohort
There has been a recent focus in the media regarding women’s largely negative experiences of using the contraceptive implant and intrauterine device (IUD). Although much work has examined reasons for the non-use of these highly effective methods, little research has qualitatively explored the experiences of women using these contraceptives over time. This project will use qualitative free-text data from the 1989-1995 cohort over three time points to provide insight into the experiences of women using these methods over time.
