Psychological impacts of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in Australian women.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex hormonal disorder common affecting one in five women and one in four AustralianIndigenous women. PCOS is associated with many health complications. Women with PCOS are reported to have higher anxiety ordepression scores, lower quality of life, and more eating disorders than women without PCOS. We intend to study the impact ofPCOS and the effect of body weight on the psychological outcomes in Australian women with PCOS.
