Income contingent loans for women who experience intimate partner violence
Financial stress is known to be a major factor for women staying in violent relationships. This project will investigate an income-contingent loan (ICL) scheme for women who experience intimate partner violence (IPV) to enable them to more safely leave these situations. Data from the ALSWH will be used to analyse the demographics of women who experience violence, which will provide input into the parameters of an ICL scheme so that it will be financially sustainable for all parties involved.
