Information for teens

We need your help to find out about teenagers’ health and wellbeing, so we can help improve services, policies and programs that affect the lives of young people in Australia.

Your mum has been part of Women’s Health Australia for up to 28 years, completing surveys to help us learn more about what affects their health and wellbeing. About 8 years ago, we asked your mum to complete a survey about her children – you!

Now we want to hear the experiences of teenagers and what it is like to be a teenager growing up in Australia. No one is more qualified to tell us about your health than you.

If you are aged 13-19 years and your mum is born between 1973-1978 and part of Women’s Health Australia we want you to fill out a survey.

Keep an eye out in your invitation email for instructions on how you can take part.

MatCH 2 aims to gather information about the health and wellbeing of children and teenagers. We are researching the extent to which the history of your mother’s health and wellbeing, and other parts of your life like family, environment, and your experiences impact your health, development and use of health services.

There is lots of information in the Participant Information Statement to tell you all about the survey. Please make sure that you have read it and understand what we are asking you to do before you consent to participate.

To participate, click on the link for the survey in your invitation email. Can’t find your invitation email? Contact Women’s Health Australia on 1800 068 081 (FREECALL) or email alswh@newcastle.edu.au
