ALSWH COVID-19 Survey 6: Report 6

Younger women were more likely to report a change in alcohol consumption since the covid-19 crisis began than older women. 1 in 3 women aged 25-31 reported a change (14% decreased, 21% increased). 1 in 4 women aged 42-47 reported a change (7% decreased, 20% increased). 1 in 7 women aged 69-74 repoted a change (10% decreased, 4% increased).

The COVID-19 Surveys provide timely insight into women’s health and wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The fortnightly surveys have been deployed via email to women in the three ALSWH cohorts born 1989-95, 1973-78, and 1946-51, since late April 2020. Each rapid survey includes:

  • Set questions on women’s symptoms and testing
  • Questions on a themed topic – stress, financial stress, living arrangements, access to healthcare services
  • Opportunity to provide free-text comments

Survey 6: 8 July 2020

Topics

  • Women’s symptoms and testing
