Changes report 2: Examples from the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health for analysing longitudinal data

Ford J, Dobson A, Young A, Wheway V & Powers J. Changes report 2: Examples from the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health for analysing longitudinal data. Report prepared for Australian Government Department of Health & Ageing, June 2005.

This report was prepared for the Department of Health and Ageing. It summarises and illustrates the main statistical methods for analysing longitudinal data from the ALSWH.

The report deals mainly with the analysis of correlated data arising from repeated measurements, when the outcome measurements are continuous and are assumed to have a multivariate Normal distribution. Analogous methods are available for repeated measures of categorical outcome variables.
