Synopsis

This report will examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women ’ s health care use and cost. Health care use before and during the pandemic will be compared between specific groups of women based on their sociodemographic characteristics. Women's experiences with their health and health care services during the pandemic will also be examined using the fortnightly short surveys undertaken in the first six months of the COVID-19 pandemic (April-Oct 2020). These pandemic surveys collected both quantitative and qualitative data, allowing for contextual examination about how women responded to their health care needs during the initial months of the pandemic.
