Impact of domestic violence on women’s employment, educational attainment, and mental health
Synopsis
Our project uses ALSWH data to study the impact of domestic violence on young women’s educational attainment and employment outcomes when they experience domestic violence for the first time. It looks at how domestic violence affects women’s rates of employment, rates of full time vs part time employment, and their financial wellbeing. It also studies the impact of domestic violence on women’s mental health, specifically studying whether domestic violence increases suicidal thoughts and self-harm for women.
