Impact of COVID-19 vaccine on menstrual symptoms among women with endometriosis
Synopsis
Endometriosis causes a wide range of symptoms through immunologic and inflammatory
mediators. Women with endometriosis often experience menstrual symptoms,
including heavy menstrual bleeding, severe period pain, and irregular periods. COVID-19
vaccines have also been shown to elicit an immune response in the body, which
could potentially trigger changes in menstrual cycles, particularly for women
with pre-existing menstrual disorders. This project, therefore, aimed to
examine the impact of the COVID-19 vaccine on menstrual symptoms among women with
endometriosis.
