Physical activity accumulated across adulthood and vasomotor symptoms of menopause at age 40-49

Synopsis

The aim of this study is to investigate the association between physical activity accumulated from early to mid-adulthood and vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause (hot flushes and night sweats) in Australian women. By utilising data from the Australia Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health, this study will investigate whether physical activity levels may play a role on the severity and progression of vasomotor symptoms of menopause. This research could inform evidence-based strategies for managing symptoms commonly associated with menopause using a non-pharmacological approach for enhancing women’s well-being across their life-course.
