Estimating healthcare use relative to need in older Australian women
Synopsis
This study aims to estimate the health care use relative to needs of Australian women born 1946-51 (aged 71-77 in 2022). Using data from the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health, researchers will identify and profile healthcare needs (according to conditions, symptoms and quality of life). By linking survey data with service use data, the study seeks to provide a picture of the gaps in care. The findings will help improve services and policies to better support older women in Australia.
