Anxiety and its relationship with experiencing violence for Australian women
Synopsis
Our main objective is to
investigate anxiety in relation to Australian women who have experienced
domestic violence. We will compare the long-term effects of domestic violence
and anxiety, how it changes over time, which risk and protective factors may
play a role, and which facets of social support may be related to decreased
anxiety. Additionally, we aim to provide insight into the lived experience and how women describe their own experiences with anxiety and domestic
violence. The findings will allow for further understanding into the impact of
anxiety and domestic violence and provide research and policy recommendations
to aid Australian women in their recovery
