Predictors of attrition in the 1921-26 cohort of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health.

Synopsis

Predictors of attrition in longitudinal studies are generally factors assessed at baseline with little evidence on the effect of time variable factors. The aim of this paper is to investigate whether risk factors in the 1921-26 cohort of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health predict continued attrition, or if the predictors of attrition vary across the waves of the study. The characteristics of women who remain in the study will be compared to census data to examine representativeness.
