Quality of life trajectories (SF-36), and the impact of socioeconomic, socio-demographic and lifestyle indicators.

Synopsis

Investigation into long term changes in quality of life is of great interest, and there are many socioeconomic, socio-demographic and lifestyle covariates which may influence this. The Australian Longitudinal Study of Women’s Health provides a rich unique data set with which to study the long term changes in quality of life as measured by the SF-36 in Australian women, and in order to inform government policy, identify the particular socioeconomic, socio-demographic and lifestyle covariates that can influence optimal quality of life outcomes in women. This project will focus on identifying the factors influencing quality of life while exploring the optimal statistical methods to use in this area.
