Do women adhere to breastfeeding guidelines?

Synopsis

Around the world, guidelines have recommended that women breastfeed for a minimum of six months and preferable continue to a year or more. We calculated the proportions of children breastfed to six months, 12 months and 24 months. We investigated child-related and maternal characteristics associated with duration of breastfeeding of all children, and patterns of breastfeeding for women with two or more children. A paper is being prepared for publication
