How to recruit and retain a new cohort of women aged 18-23 years for an online longitudinal survey.

Synopsis

The Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health has gained additional funding from the government to establish a new cohort of young women, aged 18-23 years, as an addition to the existing cohorts. Focus groups have been conducted in order to examine the opinions of the targeted age group on completing an online survey about their health and lifestyle. The women were also asked to complete a demographic survey. The aim of this study is to gain an understanding of how to recruit and retain a representative national sample of this specific age group for the longitudinal study.
