Synopsis

This section looks at the socio-demographic characteristics of women who were aged 18 to 23 in two time periods: in 1996 (the original cohort of women who were born 1973-78) and 2012-13 (women in the new young cohort who were born 1989-94). In this section, the socio-demographic characteristics of age, area of residence, marital status, language spoken at home, living arrangements, educational attainment, study, employment and income management are compared.
