Synopsis

Intimate partner violence negatively affects women of all ages, although the ways in which women perceive abuse appears to differ by generation. This project will examine the impact of intimate partner violence on women’s mental and physical health over the lifecourse. A comparison will be made between three generations of women to see if generational differences exist in the relationship between intimate partner violence and health.
