The prevalence and characteristics of young and middle aged Australian women who use of Chinese Medicine (CM).

Synopsis

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a broad range of medicine practices sharing common concepts which have been developed in China and are based on a tradition of more than 2000 years, including various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage, exercise, and dietary therapy. In recent decades, the use of TCM has become increasingly popular in Western societies. However, there is a lack of detailed empirical investigation of TCM use amongst women in Australia and the proposed thesis will provide an initial direct response to this research gap and need.
