Factors Contributing to Diagnosed Anxiety Among Australian Females Aged Between 18-23.

Synopsis

Previous research highlights the pertinence of further investigation of reported anxiety disorders among women; especially young women aged between 18-23 years old. Thus the aim of the current study is to observe a large sample of women aged 18-23 in order to ascertain factors associated with being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. Previous research suggests that risk taking behaviours and other mental health disorders (including depression) are highly correlated with anxiety . It is hypothesised that these variables will be associated with diagnosed anxiety disorders among a large, generalisable sample of Australian women aged between 18-23 years old.
