Association between dairy intake and incidence of type 2 diabetes.

Synopsis

The number of people living with type 2 diabetes (T2D) is sharply rising, causing global concern [1]. It is also known that a large number of T2D cases can be delayed or even prevented by means of lifestyle interventions, including a healthy diet [2]. In recent years, an increased interest was observed in the potential role of dairy intake in relation to T2D. However, the magnitude and strength of the association remains uncertain. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to investigate the association between intake of different quantities and types of dairy foods and incident T2D in Australian women.References:[1] World Health Organization.
