Trends and costs in health service use related to alcohol use and behavioural risk factors among pregnant women.

Synopsis

Unhealthy behaviours during pregnancy are the risk factors that contribute to the burden of possible adverse events for women and their babies. In order to reduce these possible outcomes from happening a focus should be placed on the dissemination of the factors that contribute to alcohol use for women during pregnancy. Our project will examine the financial burden on the health care system and the health of the mother and baby when exposed to differing levels of alcohol use through pregnancy.
