Synopsis

This project explores how being a lesbian, bisexual, or other sexual minority woman impacts your access to healthcare in Australia. We know that sexual minority women in Australia have worse mental and physical health compared to heterosexual women, and this is often linked to the stigma and discrimination experienced by sexual minorities. In this study we ask: to what extent is this health disparity explained by poorer access to healthcare?
