Women's perceptions of information they received about alcohol use during pregnancy

Synopsis

During their pregnancies, the majority of women from the ALSWH 1973-1976 cohort consumed alcohol. There has yet to be an investigation as to how these women perceive alcohol use during pregnancy, and how they make the decision of whether or not to consume alcohol during this time. This project qualitatively examined women’s perceptions of the information and advice they received about alcohol use during pregnancy. Nineteen telephone interviews were conducted. Interview transcripts are currently being analysed.
