Comparison of omnivore, vegetarian and vegan dietary patterns and depressive symptom in Australian women

Synopsis

There are over 300 million people in the world who experience the symptoms of depression. Research suggests that healthy dietary patterns may have an inverse impact on depressive symptoms in the general population. However, the evidence on the association between meat (omnivore) and plant-based dietary patterns (vegetarian and vegan) and depression (20 observational studies and four systematic reviews) is
conflicting and inconsistent.  This project aims to compare the association of diet quality (high and low) and depressive symptoms in omnivore, vegan and vegetarian women in Australia across time.
