Three essays in Health Economics: IVF policy change implications

Synopsis

This research will use a microeconomics health production model and econometric models, to assess the economic impact of a policy change in the reimbursement for medical care in Australia and the resulting impact on the use of health services for women who received reproductive treatments such as In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). This project will also study the mortality and morbidity rates differentials among IVF-born and conventionally born children.
