Physical activity, sedentary behaviour and stroke in older women.
There is a clear inverse dose response relationship between physical activity and risk of stroke in women. However, the evidence for the association between sitting time individually and in combination with physical activity, and stroke is less clear. The aim of this study is to examine prospective associations between physical activity and sitting time, individually and combined, with stroke over 9 years in older women.
